Three Manipuri Films Selected For IFFI 2011

IMPHAL, Oct 18: One feature film and two non-feature films from the State have been selected for the Indian panorama section of International Film Festival of India 2011.

The jury for feature films, headed by renowned filmmaker Sai Paranjpe selected 23 films out of the total 118 eligible entries for IFFI 2011.

Manipuri digital feature film, Phijigee Mani has been listed at serial number 19 in the list released today.

The film is directed by O Gautam Singh.

The feature film jury has chosen Malayalam film, Urumi as the opening film of Indian Panaroma section at the Film Festival of India 2011 at Goa.

The non-feature films jury chaired by noted writer Ashok Rane picked 21 films out of 135 eligible entries among which ‘Songs of Mashangva’ by Oinam Doren and Noong Amadi Yeroom of Romi Meitei were included.

Adwaita Sangeet of Makarand Brahme has been selected as the opening film of non-feature films category for IIFA-2011.
